How Social Media Can Drive Revenue [Infographic]

Social Media is no doubt the most scrutinized digital marketing activity, and it usually gets criticized because its ROI is not always clear.

The folks at Eventbrite released this infographic with insight from their event management web site showing that Social Media does, in fact, drive revenue for businesses worldwide in this example.

Eventbrite can track revenue attributed to social sharing because their event pages end with a paid registration.

Therefore, any social sharing by the event organizers or by users who have paid to register will ultimately create revenue that be directly attributed to social media.

Value of a “share” by social network:

Facebook – $4.15
Twitter – $1.85
LinkedIn – $0.92

Other highlights:

  • Facebook drives the most revenue
  • Twitter drives the most traffic
